One person was killed early Wednesday in a two-car crash that caused them to be ejected from their vehicle on Highway 24 in Oakland, authorities said. The collision occurred just before 5:30 a.m. near the Broadway on-ramp on the westbound lanes of Highway 24, according to the California Highway Patrol. Three westbound lanes were shut down as emergency crews responded to the scene. One westbound lane was open during the early morning commute. A silver Chevrolet Tahoe crashed into the center divider and then into a white Honda, authorities said. The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the roadway, CHP said.
