Ten displaced, one seriously injured in apartment fire in SF

One person is suffering from serious injuries and ten residents were displaced after a fire blazed at an apartment building near Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on Friday afternoon. San Francisco firefighters responded to a residential fire burning at a three-story, seven-unit apartment building located on 800 48th Ave. and Cabrillo Street at 4:49 p.m. Friday, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. Three residents were rescued by firefighters, officials said. Five people sustained injuries, with one person sustaining serious injuries. Their condition was unknown. One service animal died in the fire, officials said. The fire was contained in just under an hour at 5:28 p.m.
