The National Weather Service has issued several flood advisories for parts of Monterey County as Highway 101 is closed due to high water.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, the California Highway Patrol has closed Highway 101 in both direction near Chualar for flooding. Old Stage Road has also been closed. A detour has been created on Chualar Main Street to River Road.
